An annual Holiday Boat Decorating Contest is held in early December. A local celeberty or official is chosen to judge the contest to reward prizes to best decorated boats in the Cypress Landing Marina.

2009 Holiday Boat Decorating Contest

For those of you who were unable to attend the Commodore's Ball, here are the results of the Boat Decorating contest:

The winner under 26 ft.  NONAME (Barwatt)

I'd like to thank all of you who decorated your boats, you're all winners!  Our judges this year were Chocowinity Mayor Jimmy Mobley and his wife. The gift certificates from West Marine were $50 for our first prize winners and $25.00 for the runners up.
